The Chai spice adds some good flavor to this stout.

Very warm and welcoming notes of cinnamon, chai, and wheat on the nose. Dry, roasted spices finishing on the palate. Molasses and wheat prevalent upfront.

First beer I fell in love with

Lots of spice, and lots of sweet. Is this beer? I couldn't tell. Potent! (Enjoyed this the day the Spartans beat the Wolverines on a botched punt.)

Cross between trader joes/unibroue and pumking. Very good overall. Plenty of chai with imperial stout after.

Tastes like liquid Christmas cookies. Santa would love it! Bottle, home, July 2015. Upgraded, 3.5, Jan 2016

Opaque brown to mahogany in color with razor thin khaki head. Pungent chai cinnamon and cardamom aromas. Very aromatic, very smooth and rich, let this one warm up to just below room temp. Too cold and the flavors are less pronounced, too warm and the spices become slightly harsh. Medium bodied the very complex chai cinnamon and cardamom flavors balanced the high and Russian stout. Flavors of cinnamon, anise, and a spicy finish. An excellent complex beer which surprised me and I liked a lot.

No carb, smooth. Cinnamon, chai, bitter upfront. Mid-big bodied. Slightly sweet. Well balanced. Chai finish. 4.0

All around very good stout, the chai spices are definitely on the nose and the taste. But is very well balanced not too much of any thing. If you dont care for chai spices you wont care for this stout.

Chocolate brown with a light Carmel head, smells definitively of chai, very aromatic, very smooth and rich, must be served at the right temperature (just before it gets to room temp, as soon as the glass starts to sweat). Too cold and the flavors are less pronounced, too warm and the spices become slightly harsh. Great odd year beer!!
