Pretty bland, actually. Some quads do suffer from this problem, and some can gain taste points from not having any bad notes and having a smooth, buttery body feel. Central Quadder has a pretty good mouth feel, but does have a very slight rancidness or cheap beer tinge. I had this at Lowlands Benelux restaurant and thought it was a little better because it is better with food (raise it a half or full star for that use). I got a crowler (32 oz. can) at Central Waters brewery (CW is commissioned by Lowlands restaurant to make this) taproom in Amherst, WI, and was a bit disappointed. The bourbon barreled version is much superior.
