This stout is outstanding. Creamy and full of flavor. Chocolate, coffee and vanilla, rich and that subtle taste of maple syrup that makes it slightly sweeter than KBS. Complex and delicious. On tap at Ave Pub, March 2015.

If the KBS is awesome this beer is even more amazing! Jet black in color with a thin ring of khaki head. Very low carbonation. Had on draft at cork city aged 1yr (2014). Aromas of burnt caramel, and coffee notes. Vanilla tones. Heavy in body this beer glides over your tongue with an intricate mix of flavors. Chocolate and black coffee at the forward followed by a big sweet maple flavor followed by a vanilla oak bourbon finish flavor with a dark chocolate flourish. This beer is awesome!

12/30/14. Shepard and knucklehead. On tap. Best beer I have ever had. So good and smooth. Strong too. 5/7/15 Morris tap and grill. Tap. Perfect!

Looks dark like tar or oil. Smells like amazing dark chocolate coated with maple syrup with a very slight bourbon smell. Tastes... Just wow... Like... Wow.... Very chocolatey that combines with the coffee. Kind of like a smooth creamy chocolate coffee. The maple syrup is sweet and brings it all together. The bourbon is present throughout but not at all overbearing. Again... Wow!!

The perfect stout! Very complex but perfectly balanced. Coffee, chocolate, vanilla, toffee, maple and barrel aging. Words escape me ........... I like this even more than KBS. Absolute crime this is not in the Top 100 here

I have been saving this for a year and have to say wow.really smooth.bourbon is present but blended with a subtle sweetness that is the maple.what a combo.founders should brew this every year ike lbs.maybe 6 months after kbs release.great great stout.
