Beeker - April 6, 2017739: 13.2% ABV ? IBU. Caesar's Gimp by Perrin Brewing Co. Imperial Amber aged in Merlot Barrels. Pours a rubyish brown color with very little head. Smell is cherry, oak and red wine. The merlot barrel gives this beer a port wine feel. This red ale has sweetness, helps balance the alcohol and adds to the overall body. Body is medium with low carbonation. First glass was chilled and in a pint glass because of being a amber. Second glass room temp in a tulip glass. I rather enjoyed the second glass at room temperature. If you enjoy red wine or a oak barrel aged taste, this is a must try. I have a bottle I'm going to try to age. Maybe try on a cold winter day. 4 âï¸
