Surprising, good sweetness and hops, potent yet smooth; nice cloudy orange color; great complexity; its a sipper

APPEARANCE - 1FH, light, foamy, hazy.
AROMA/SCENT - Hops, malts, sweet.
TASTE - Hops, bitter, nutty, pine.
MOUTHFEEL/PALATE/TEXTURE - Good carbonation, dry, bubbly, clean, light, effervescent, crisp, refreshing
VALUE - $8 for 12-oz draft. OK.
OVERALL/DRINKABILITY - Quaffable.

Very smooth and silky for an IPA but thick and syrupy. Not all that sweet. Very smokey, bourbonesque flavor. Alcohol taste.

A little to earthy on the hops for my liking but other than that decent IPA. Touch of sweetness for balance. No real malt or caramel - overpowered by the hops.

I'm not a huge fan of Brooklyn Brewery brews, however, this one surprised me! A nice cloudy-orange hue and a tasty balance of English and American hops with British and German malts, Blast IPA possesses a satisfying balance of good brew flavors.

Too malty for my taste , and had it bottled and ABV said 8.4 poured into pint glass. Pretty smooth tho going down just wasn't for me .
