Rich and very smooth. It lingers nicely on the palate. Some nice chocolate notes. Very substantial but surprisingly smooth and not as bitter as I expected from an imperial.

An almost barleywine tasting imperial stout. This one says winter 10-11 and its oct 2014 and was a gift this year. Where did whoever gave this to me dig this up?

Strong dark chocolate flavor.. Very thick and heavier beer, however one of the best tasting and smoothest russian imperial stouts around.. 4 stars

The alcohol is really apparent. It has a little more bitterness than I like.
