A dark beverage from the hinterland of Wisconsin that uses the ample, hearty bourbon flavor to compensate for a slightly lackluster stout base. Coffee. Not as much body as it should have. Overly low carbonation. Very nice on the bourbon; this makes the beer. And I now realize I mussed it up; I?m having the 2017 vintage in 2019, so not one year aged! Blasted! Aged for me by Downer Liquor.

Strong, but very smooth

Tasty! Pours dark brown with a thin off-white head that recedes to a light film. Nice bourbon barrel and vanilla scent. Tastes very similar to scent. A little to thin and watery for my preference but all in all a very good beer!

Bourbony nose. Very smooth with oaky bourbon and coffee notes

Good in small quantity. I had it after dinner in a nice small 4 oz pour. Bourbon flavor shines through
