IronmanGS - April 2, 2013Not a beer that you could sit on your deck and drink a few, but you could certainly sit in front of a fire and keep warm with one. Super intense flavor, with a pretty obvious bourbon character if you drink it right away.

jhknoebel@gmail.com - April 1, 2013Note that this is made every year and there is a slight difference between years. I have six "vintages" in my cellar and these beers are worth aging. When first released they are strongly influenced by the bourbon barrels but over time get more mellow.

ishtet - March 14, 2013Amazingly complex and balanced. Heavy burnt sugar aftertaste. The alcohol makes itself felt rather than is tasted. Probably the best stout I've had to date.

DaxAttack - March 11, 2013Big alcohol smell. Malty. Thick like oil. Sweet caramelly. Light alcohol burn but rather smooth for 15%. Impressive, nicely aged. Tasty but a very mature and bold brew

hefewiseguy - March 9, 2013Pours pitch black with a quickly dissipating dark brown head. Smells of bourbon, coconut, chocolate and dark malts. The taste: WOW! Super complex. I taste the bourbon and get the alc heat right away, followed by coconut, dark malts, and dark cherry. It finishes with butterscotch. The most complex stout I've had to date. 5/5!

nwolkenh - March 9, 2013Very dark. Looks like oil. Smells like bourbon, coconut, burnt brown sugar, and slightly chocolatey. Tastes more like coffee than expected, very roasty, slight cherry taste. You can feel the bourbon more than you actually taste it.
