Brew&bbq - May 13, 2013Good beer, but at almost 15%abv, it is not for the faint of heart. This is a one and done for me when I have it.

Gebby - May 12, 2013Absolutely the best beer I have ever had. I had it at Gramercy Tavern in New York.
The taste is rich with coffee, chocolate and a hint of bourbon. Dark as can be and even the head is dark.

Espenoza - May 11, 20132 yr old - The booze blended in well, not too strong in the nose. Faint vanilla and oak and plenty of booze on the nose still.
Very complex taste, roasted malts, bourbon, sweet caramel.

IronmanGS - April 2, 2013Not a beer that you could sit on your deck and drink a few, but you could certainly sit in front of a fire and keep warm with one. Super intense flavor, with a pretty obvious bourbon character if you drink it right away.

jhknoebel@gmail.com - April 1, 2013Note that this is made every year and there is a slight difference between years. I have six "vintages" in my cellar and these beers are worth aging. When first released they are strongly influenced by the bourbon barrels but over time get more mellow.

ishtet - March 14, 2013Amazingly complex and balanced. Heavy burnt sugar aftertaste. The alcohol makes itself felt rather than is tasted. Probably the best stout I've had to date.
