Mighty fine cold weather beer. The color is a beautiful black brown with a surprisingly light, white, and low lace head. The aroma is distinctly bourbon with traces of espresso. The taste is very tame with a low heat, however good bourbon flavor and dark roasted coffee compliments. 4 of 5 stars.

It was a decent beer, but in no way worth 14.99 for a bomber when bourbon barrel Temptress is only 10.99.

I have become a Winter Warmer fan. It is amongst the better Warmers. I would say it matches the Independence Winter Warmer except you can find it on the shelf. It has a smooth bourbon tone but is not overwhelming. Very nice
