Leave it to Three Floyds, a brewery obsessed with IPAs and pale ales, to make an imperial stout this hoppy. This feature, which makes the beer taste like a IIPA-imp stout hybrid, does make Blot Out original, and you have to admit it works. Thick and rich as an imp stout should be. The malt and chocolate notes tamp down the bitterness and hops to a degree. Besides being good, Blot Out shares another quality of Three Floyd?s stable of beers: it is significantly overpriced. I would not buy this again unless the boys in Muenster reduced its price by 1/3, which is not a small amount.

Delicious ful flavor and smooth American Imperial Stout. Malty with a deceptive bitterness. Nutty, smoky, vanilla coffee.

Thick and dark as oil; I can see why it earned its name. The hoppiest dark beer I have ever had. A bit more than I expected, I'll admit.

Nice stout! Pours black with a creamy brown head. Smells of orange peel and roasted malt. Tastes similar. Creamy feel with a light stickiness. Nice hoppiness to it. Very enjoyable. Loved the Simpsons reference on the bottle!
