Cloudy amber in color with no head and very pungent vanilla bourbon aromas. Has a hint of marshmallow and a yeast notes. Has a fluffy mouthfeel and a very strong boozy flavor, has a Homebrew quality to it. Sweet malty and yeasty. Just ok and feels unbalanced.

New label as of May 2014. Strong. Smooth. Clean finish. Cloudy. Worthy. If you love bourbon ales and Quads like I do, this a must-have. I respect other critics but am not bound to agree w/them. Prosit!

Excellent quad. The bourbon barrel adds a great flavor. Very strong.

Strong whiskey nose and flavor. Drinks like a barleywine.

This "vinous" beer absolutely sends a chill down my spine. Drink this one sitting down.

2 finger head quickly fades (high ABV), reddish color, fairly clear. Nose is funky, def Brett yeast. Flavor is fruity and a little over-boozed.

Recent batch. Nice bourbon here in the nose but struggle to get much of it in the taste.
