The only black ipa that has lived up to the ipa standard IMO as usually the black versions have a malt imbalance that mutes the hops. This one has just enough hops to remind you that it is an ipa. Not quite as good as Death by Hops by same brewery but still a highly enjoyable beer, and over a long evening perhaps more drinkable in large amounts as it is very smooth.
