Fairly small light brown head, with slight retention and lace. Body is black and nearly opaque. Nutty/coffee aromas alongside smoky/roasted graininess and a trace of dark bread. The flavor is more of chocolate malt and grain, with a fine drying finish. The finish is dry while swallowing, but sweetens as it (substantially) lingers with a bittersweet chocolate aftertaste. Fairly full bodied, while the carbonation is light and smooth. A very nice stout.
