Nice smell of hops and taste is great for a black ipa - nice malt flavors and yet there is a good hop presence in the finish

Very nice coffee notes and a nice creamy body. Low carbonation, which is fitting for the style. Good hop notes throughout that play second fiddle to the coffee. A great sub for a porter.

Bottle: Package bills this as a "black IPA." tastes like a cross between a stout and an IPA. Starts bitter like an IPA but with more depth of flavor. Bitterness fades quickly for a slightly sweet, malty finish. Interesting combo, would like to try on draft.

Best black IPA I've had. Perfectly smooth and hoppy. Not dry.
