Like sipping on 12oz of single malt.. Peet moss and beer - this is how I would have imagined it.

Not what we expected it to taste like. Roger says it tasted like beef jerky

Like drinking scotch

Love the Scotch Whiskey peat flavors. Gives the barley wine a new epic flavor.

This is a very complex Spin on an English Barleywine. It is both smokey and sweet (caramel and vanilla flavors), followed by earthy, bitter hops and a heavy iodine flavor. Oak and whiskey flavors blend and trail into more smoke and tobacco ash flavors. Iodine flavor keeps this from being incredible. Strong three stars.

A very complex mix of a barley wine and scotch ale. Uses peat malt which is considerable. Vanilla/ caramel undertones with a bit of hoppy bitterness. Very earthy, very woody, somewhat smoky, with a definite iodine taste. little too overwhelming for me. A solid three.
