Hops overpower the malt and syrup.. Change the hops to a more mellow variety and quadruple the amount of syrup ... Then it would live up to the name.

No hint of maple to be found. Tasted incredibly hoppy- almost too hoppy. The color is exactly what it should be. I wanted to like this more than I actually did.
