Cellar Dweller - March 8, 2017Pours dark brown with ruby highlights and a thin tan head. Faint sweet coffee scent. Light bitter coffee flavor with a mild sweet finish. Fairly thin feel but the sweet finish is sticky so I think that makes it feel thicker. This beer has been getting a lot of hype in my area but I don't feel it's lived up to it. It's good but not great!
owlyn - December 25, 2016Really nice imperial stout. No detectable coffee flavor to me, but companion tastes it. Nicely thick. Not much head, but carbonation lasts.
jboston - December 22, 2012A little bitter up front & a bit sweet after. Bitter from coffee rather than hops. Brewed with dark matter coffee.
davl22 - January 14, 2012Big roasted coffee aroma upfront! Creamy, dark brown head. Jet black color, couldn't make out any light coming through. Smooth start, roasty malt, coffee and vanilla flavor throughout, lingering finish with zero alcohol bite, incredible coffee stout!
