I'm really doubting that this 2017 collab with boneyard is the same beer that was rated in 2014 & 2015 rather negatively. As far as I know, this was the first & only time this beer was brewed, so I'm not sure what DIPA that was in 2014-15, but this looks like another instance where brewgene incorrectly merges 2 or more beers together. Very disappointing....in any case, this DIPA was hoppy and smooth, masked its high abv well, & earned 4 stars in my book.

A. Piney aroma and flavor, good malt balance. I think this beer got merged with another and they are not the same. My rating of the beer camp version 2017 in a can, is more if a 4 star. A bit too bitter and not that much malt. Still comes across as piney, but more herbal with citrus peel.

Good mouth feel, slight maltiness, finishes dry with several different hop flavors. Does not taste 8.5 abv. For the price at costco 3.99 not a bad value

Clear golden in color with a thick white head with nice lacing. Surprisingly very little hop aroma, just mostly floral notes. Lighter mouthfeel and body. Piney with strong resiny flavor, and a floral finish. Has a sweetness to it too

Hazy straw golden colored body with white head. Citrus, orange peel aromas. Malt backbone, fruit and pine flavors. Nicely balanced.
