Schmutzie - March 1, 2013Right from popping the cap, this IPA is all about the hops. Before the cap is off the bomber you are hit with fantastic hop aroma, citrus, floral grapefruit... Simply excellent. It pours a cloudy pale yellow/gold - my somewhat vigorous pour resulted in a good inch and a half of tight white head and released even more of the heavenly hop aroma. The flavor is all about hops, this IPA is all about the hops. Every facet of the aroma is present in the taste, while the pleasing bitterness lingers it is the hop flavored that make this an outstanding IPA. Decidedly unbalanced (all about the hops!) there is still a slightly sweet malt backbone resulting in a light bodied, very drinkable beer.
