cgiron - November 11, 2014Clear copper hued body with a light tan head, good lace & retention. Granola, toasty sweet malt and fruit nose & taste. Masks high ABV well.
aaf145 - June 6, 2014Nothing too impressive.. Mild hops, kind of floral like with a slight fruit taste.. Drinkable I guess for 9% abv..Love the label on the bottle, but that's about it.. 2.5 stars

Not as hoppy as I expected from a Dogfish Head American Pale Ale. Just hoppy enough, and balanced well with a hint of granola. Initial citrus hop bite finishes piney. Overpriced, but worth it once in a while.
2019 version retains the flavor profile, but with only 6.5% ABV and 50 IBU
