Tasty and strong. The bourbon taste comes in near the end.

It has a dark flavor that travels up the nose. Obviously a very strong beer (11.0 abv). I felt my head swim after the second drink. I added an appetizer and slowed my pace. A change from the fruity/spicy Trappist ales.
