A-. Not sure the year, maybe a 2016. Pretty smooth, some hops, aged flavors and a nice balance.

Decent barleywine.. Love the abv, but not much of a memorable flavor, hoppy and strong... Not AleSmith's best but still 3 stars...

OMG!! This beer is godly! Well balanced. Not over- hopped. Has tons of flavor. If you can find the barrel aged then buy it if you can afford it. This is worth it!!'

Some good flavors, but hard to get down. Unexpectedly hoppy, but it didn't help.

Placing 2nd place in a 2010 Chicago Beer challenge, Old Numbskull reminds you of why it's in a champaign bottle with some bubbles as you drink the barely ale wine. This San Diego craft brew is good but not as good as others further north such as offerings from Bend, Oregon or even further north to Juno, Alaska. A nice beer that will be remembered as such.
