crimsontide1 - January 29, 2017They are not lying about the coffee bit. This literally tastes and absolutely smells like an iced coffee. Very good. 4/5 stars.
andyfriggnpandy - July 1, 2015Don't try if it is your first milk stout, it may turn you off. However, if you like a milk stout, but want some extra kick with that sweetness- try this one out. Espresso is strong on the nose, and initial taste is the only sweetness. Middle you're hit by the coffee beans, and finishes slightly bitter as would black coffee. If you need your coffee every morning like me, you will enjoy it. Go for it. 4/5.
dhess - May 15, 2015It is the first Milk Stout I have had, and the first beer I have had that is brewed with espresso.
It is not as smooth as something like Guinness or Murphy's, and has a mild 'burnt' flavor to it.
I am not sure that I can taste the espresso. I expected a bitterness that is not there. I probably should have tried a regular milk stout first for comparison.
