Just awesome however I did age it a year. Smells like raisins and plums with a hint of chocolate. Tastes the same which I found unusual. This tasted more like a barely wine than stout

The eighth beer in the Twelve Beers of Christmas series, this one is an Imperial 11.3% milk stout. Dark opaque black in color with a quickly dissipating khaki head that leaves a thin rim on top of the beer, no lacing. Aromas of slight roasted malt chocolate and a wine like Belgian funkiness, such as grapes or other berries. Medium in body with a nice rich creaminess, has strong dark chcocolatey flavor that is drying at the end. Has subtle note of berries and a dryness at the end. Overall very good and smooth for a high abv beer.
Bought in Dec 2015, drank 3/2/2016.

Low carbonation, smooth. Mid-big bodied, sweet, slight hops, spice, moderately bitter. Balances ABV very well. 4.2

Had this several times and it was a battle as to whether it should be 4.5/5.0 stars or 5/5. Having this on tap this month I can verify that the tap version, for me, is 5/5. For my wife the tap is more 4.5/5 and the bottle 5/5 because I get an almost fruit sour that I love on tap and she gets more of a sweetness that she loves in the bottle. Great beer! Trying it again I can confirm a smokey fruit aftertaste that makes me think of what fruity cigars must taste like.

Fucking awesome beer...huge lactose creaminess like a top grade milk stout and nice crisp slightly fruity finish with the Belgian yeast... Rich in malty and roasty flavor while not being overly heavy.. What blows my mind is the abv..11.3% but would never guess it.. Goes down so easy like a 5% session stout ...have to try.

Rare imperial milk stout. High alcohol but well balanced and creamy. Wine after taste. Milk finish.

Nice sweet milk stout with definite floral aroma and aftertaste. The floral taste tends to strengthen as the beer approaches room temp. A little annoying towards the end.
