clipinski13 - November 18, 2014The recipe used last year (2013) for this beer was better than this year. Strong toasted and caramel malt flavors with hints if honey, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. I'd like to go back to the old recipe and tone down the malts, allowing the spice flavors to come forward. At 8.3% ABV, it packs a good punch.
Smokinjared - November 8, 2014Far superior to the Great Lakes Christmas Ale. It is already naturally spiced and full of flavor. Amber in color and it warms you up nicely. My new favorite X-Mas Ale.
