Almost opaque. Very strong flavor of dark raisins. Initially sweet with a rather abrasive finish. Very boozy tasting. Not a huge fan. 3 stars.

Dark brown with some ruby highlights. Tall tan head. Mild sweetness, raisins on the nose. Smooth balanced flavors. Dark fruits and a mild molasses flavor. Warms slightly toward the end. Clean finish. Bottle. 9-17-12.

Wow! As far as dark Belgians go, this is great! It's got that plum raisin dark deep Belgian flavors that are SO good. A great finisher beer.

Love the brewery, admire the effort, but doesn't work for me - which is why it's awesome, because someone else will LOVE it. I'll drink their other beers....

Thick, and full bodied. Sweet at first but with a very smokey finish. One of the best ales i've had the pleasure of tasting! Two thumbs up! Bottle artwork is beautiful too!
